Army Medical College

Army Medical College, Bogura is a military medical college located in the Bogura Cantonment in Bangladesh. Established in 2014, it is affiliated with the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and offers a five-year Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program

Campus and facilities

  • Location: Situated within the Bogura Cantonment, the college provides a secure and disciplined academic environment. Its proximity to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Bogura allows students easy access for clinical training.
  • Infrastructure: Facilities include well-equipped lecture halls, modern laboratories, a comprehensive library, and computer facilities.
  • Hostels: Separate, secure hostels with dining facilities and common rooms are available for male and female students.
  • Recreation: The college emphasizes physical fitness and holistic development, offering facilities for both indoor and outdoor games.
  • Medical Care: Students have access to medical care through the on-campus MI room and are referred to CMH Bogura for more serious cases. 

 

Curriculum and training

The MBBS program's curriculum covers basic medical sciences, clinical medicine, and military medicine, aligning with BMDC standards. Students receive practical clinical training at CMH Bogura in various medical fields. The program concludes with a mandatory one-year internship. 

 

Admissions

  • For local students, eligibility requires a combined GPA of 7.0 in SSC and HSC with a minimum of 3.5 in Biology.
  • International students need to have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, achieving at least 50% in these subjects, and their transcripts must be approved by the Director General of Health Services in Bangladesh. The degree is internationally recognized. The admission process includes a written test, interview, and medical examination.
