Samarkand State Medical University
Samarkand State Medical University (SSMU) is a public medical institution in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, founded in 1930. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious medical universities in Central Asia and is recognized by global bodies like the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). Admission requirements for Indian students
Indian students must meet specific criteria and provide certain documents to gain admission:
- Academic: Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in the 12th standard for the general category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC categories.
- NEET: Must have qualified the NEET exam, as per NMC regulations.
- Age: Must be a minimum of 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year.
- Interview: Admission for foreign nationals is based on an interview in biology, chemistry, and the language of instruction.
